Cyril Rodrigo, CEO
An Honours graduate from the University of Singapore, Cyril
is an industry veteran of 25 years. Immediately upon graduation,
he did his apprenticeship with Cathay Pacific Airway's cargo
department. He joined AEI in 1982 as a Project Manager and
rose to become their Regional Manager - Asia assisting Robert
Lim in AEI's interests in the region. Cyril moved to Emery
Worldwide in late 1993 as their Vice President Asia and within
a year was made Vice president Asia Pacific with the added
responsibility of managing their South Pacific operations.
He has been the primary mover behind the formation of S-Net
Freight.
Peter Brougham, COO Europe and Worldwide
Peter is a logistics and freight veteran of more than 30 years,
having worked with DHL Europe and UPS (London) as Director
of Operations before heading Emery Worldwide – European
operations from 1997 to 2002. During his tenure as VP, he
doubled the European business coupled with fourfold profit
growth resulting in increased profits of over $30m.
The challenge to turn around an ailing UK mail business
led him to a successful demerging and subsequent listing of
this company on the FTSE which generated a first year revenues
of £131m and generating profit of £31.4m.
Currently based in England, Peter will bring to bear his vast
experience to help spearhead S-Net European and North American
businesses.
Peter Lim, COO Asia
Peter has vast experience spread over 25 years in both freight
and logistics services in the Asia Pacific. He started his
career with Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific on the passenger
side before moving to cargo with AEI. After a stint with GEFCO
(PSA France), Peter joined Emery Worldwide in 1994 where he
held several positions including Division Manager of Singapore,
Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, and Division Manager of Korea,
Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Guam and Vietnam.
Henry Cheng, Chief Financial Officer
After migrating to Australia with his family in 2004, Henry
Cheng has returned to the S-Net Group as the CFO on November
13, 2008. He was previously involved in setting up the S-Net
Group of companies back in '2000.
An accountancy graduate from the ex-University of Singapore,
he also holds CIMA and MBA (University of Strathclyde) qualifications.
He is a Fellow of ICPAS (Singapore).
Henry has acquired a wealth of manufacturing, logistical
and freight-forwarding experience working with USA MNCs like
Rockwell International, Becton Dickinson, R.R. Donnelley and
Emery Worldwide. In addition, he is very familiar with the
Asia Pacific environment. He relishes the challenges ahead!
Devadas Naidu, VP, Legal
Devadas joined the holding company since its inception and
thereafter assisted in the legal and structural set up of
the S-Net group of companies made up of subsidiaries and associated
companies. His legal experience spans more than 20 years and
this has assisted the group to expand its wings throughout
the Asia-pacific rapidly. His vast legal knowledge, expertise
and hands on approach has enabled the group to tie up key
strategic joint ventures, alliances and business partnerships
in a practical and realistic manner. He has also been instrumental
in putting into place a compliance regime for each of the
group entities as well as dealing with government, joint venture
partners, shareholders and business associates. His commercial
legal expertise, negotiation skills and demeanor has greatly
assisted the group to make key acquisitions in pursuit of
its growth, resolved initial cross border compliance and fiscal
issues along the way. He has also set up and managed the groups
Human Resource policies and administration over the years.
Devadas received his bachelor of law degree from the University
of London in 1984. He was thereafter called to the English
Bar as a barrister of the Middle Temple, London in 1985. He
was called to the Supreme Court , Singapore as an advocate
& solicitor in 1986. He was in private practice until
2000 when he joined the group. He has tremendous knowledge
and expertise in most aspects of commercial law notably in
the areas of Banking & Corporate Law. .
Hironaka Terunuma, Senior Vice-President, North
Asia
Terunuma has stewardship of Japan and Korea. Until September
2001, Terunuma was the managing director of AEI-Maruzen, the
top foreign freight forwarder in Japan. Terunuma was with
Air Express International (AEI) for more than 30 years, joining
them in 1970 as an accounting clerk. He steadily worked his
way up the corporate at AEI-Maruzen, holding positions such
as general manager of accounting and administration, director
and chief financial officer, and was named managing director
in 1995. Terunuma was educated at the American Accounting
School in Japan.
Paul Westropp / Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Paul has full ownership of Sales & Marketing activities
for the entire S-Net Group. He joined S-Net in June 2002 as
Regional Director, Asia South Pacific with responsibility
for global sales and services and management of the company’s
operations in Singapore, Philippines, Indo-China and the Indian
Sub-Continent.
Paul served his apprenticeship with TNT and rapidly made career
advancements and was posted to numerous locations within Asia.
He contributed significantly towards the retention of business
when S-Net first started out on the Reciprocal Service Provider
Agreement with the then Tower Group International back in
early 2002.
Dinesh Tarachandani / Vice President, Asia South
Pacific & Indian Sub-continent
Dinesh oversees all of the Indian sub-continent and at the
same time drives our European development. He has over 10
years of professional experience in Engineering Consultancy
and business management blending both sides of the supply
chain. Prior to joining S-Net, Dinesh was the Division Sales
Manager of Emery Worldwide in India where he introduced many
innovative route development brands and products in the market
which have all set the standards for the inbound logistics
in India. Dinesh is a qualified Mechanical Engineer having
studied at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT) at Kanpur and subsequently obtained his MBA from IIFT,
New Delhi.
Sunny Lee / Country Manager, Korea
Sunny has over 20 years of professional experience in freight
forwarding and logistics business having worked as Country
Manager of AEI-Koryo in Korea. Having spent 4 years with SGS,
a leader in independent inspections and specialised verifications,
he is also holder of a professional Surveyor license issued
by the Korea Maritime & Port Authority.
In addition, he has vast experience in aviation technology
having served the Korean Air Force for 3 years as an Airborne
Controller. Sunny holds dual Master's degree in Public Administration
from the Han Yang University and Business Administration in
Aviation.
Frankie Lau / General Manager, Hong Kong
Started out with a position on the operational side of the
industry back in 1972, Frankie proved his mettle and quickly
rose from the ranks. He spent an extended tenure of service
with the ground handling entity of Hong Kong Air Cargo Limited
(HKACL) from 1976 to 1985. He then made the transition to
a position which optimizes his interpersonal skills when he
joined the then AEI in their sales team. He rose to be the
General Manager – Corporate Customers before embarking
on his next stage of career development wherein he took on
the position of General Manager with Freight Link Express
in mid 2002, a premier 3rd Part Logistics Service Provider
in Hong Kong. Between 2005 and early 2007, he was General
Manager at ABX Logistics and then Reynold Express before coming
onboard with S-Net Freight Hong Kong. Frankie is a holder
of a Transport & Logistics Diploma from the Hong Kong
University.
Vinny Liu / General Manager, China
A graduate from the Tatung Institute of Technology, Vinny
embarked on his freight-industry career when he joined EVA
Airways back in 1990. During his tenure with this carrier,
he also assumed positions in Chicago and Los Angeles. Thereafter,
he held managerial positions with various reputable freight
forwarders such as Dimerco, Menlo Worldwide and Speedmark
and was also the Regional General Manager for TEC Logistics
China. Just prior to joining us, he was based in Shanghai
and was in charge of freight and logistics development for
the Kunshan Region for Nippon Express. He took on the position
with S-Net Freight China effective 2 January 2008 and the
locations directly under his purview are Shanghai (China HQ),
Beijing, Qingdao, Tianjin in the North and Guangzhou, Shenzhen,
Xiamen in the South.
Mark Noske / Managing Director, S-Net Transportation
Having held senior positions with Emery Worldwide / Menlo,
UPS and most recently, a premier Asian master-loader / GSA,
Mark brings with him close to 28 years of industry experience.
He is based in Thailand and oversees an integral part of S-Net’s
ongoing initiatives in optimizing its position within Asia.
While S-Net Freight continues at its core competence of freight
forwarding, S-Net Transportation actively consolidates our
position with the airlines partners and increasing BSA commitments
aimed at improving buy costs. In addition and with his wealth
of knowledge and contacts, he astutely manages our relationship
with the various charter operators – a critical factor
which would make the difference to our allies and the customers
we served when dedicated lifts are required on short notice.
